A travel photography journey around Vancouver, Canada
TLDR: I loved photographing (and wandering around) Vancouver. In this post, I mention Stanley Park, North Vancouver, and Granville Island.
Vancouver is a photographer’s dream. Whether you are a professional, a hobbyist, or looking for some instagrammable locations, there are so many beautiful places to check out.
Of course, visiting in the Autumn/Winter seasons also presents a few challenges – with the lovely Fall hues comes misty, foggy weather that can make finding the right lighting a challenge for my very amateur eye. Nonetheless, you don’t have to be an expert to find the city’s beauty.
Stanley Park

One of my absolute favorite places was none other than Stanley Park. Lush and vibrant, this urban park had no shortage of things to see. The orange leaves and evening sunlight reflecting off the waters were almost magical in the crips Fall air.

In the park, I fell in love with the reflections in the Harbour. Unlike the previous photo, this one was taken early in the morning, with a rising sun and significantly more mist in the air.

North Vancouver and the Cleveland Dam

I also ventured to North Vancouver and the Capilano Region. The Cleveland Dam was absolutely beautiful, with some light rainfall and storm clouds swallowing the mountains in the distance. North Vancouver also has a few hiking trails and Suspension Bridges in the area, making it a great place to explore on my last trip.

Granville Island and False Creek

For a change of scenery, I also got a few shots of the city, especially Granville Island. It may have been the lighting or the vibrant colors of the market, but I loved almost every photo I took while walking around the peninsula. There was also live music, amazing food, and so many things happening – a truly fun place to stop by.

I loved going around Vancouver this Autumn season and can’t wait till I go back. What are your favorite places to travel in the Fall?
